#WanderlustWednesday - Ubud

I’m kicking off the first ever Wanderlust Wednesday with a place that is currently on the top of my bucket list, Ubud in Bali, Indonesia. This place has been everywhere on my Instagram and Pinterest feeds lately, with more people flocking to Bali than ever before and with Bali having taken the Number One spot on my bucket list.

Ubud is in the heart of Bali, situated in the mountains and is home to one of Bali’s royal families. There is a variety of things to do here, from markets, to temples and fab restaurants.

Must-see things to do include:

  • The Bali Swing
  • Monkey Forest
  • Elephant Temple
  • Rice Fields
  • Local Craft Markets

There’s a lot of local cuisine and art districts here too, as it’s known for its unique crafts and art, there’s a variety of local retailers selling paintings, textiles and artwork, along with a selection of museums and art galleries. The con of this beautiful place, may be the lack of diverse nightlife that other Bali locations have to offer, however, I think the stunning scenery and interesting art culture may outway this negative!

Have you been to Ubud? Leave your thoughts, recommendations and any other comments below!
